Miners in Granby, MO in 1944

A little history first, Granby, Missouri is considered the “Oldest Mining Town in the Southwest – 1850”.  Lead was the predominant material mined since its discovery in the 1850’s and up until the 1950’s.

The names of our pizza’s come from actual mine names in the Granby area, or some mining/geological terminology. For instance, the “Mother Lode” consists of all meats and veggies….hence “we hit the Mother Lode!”  The “Conglomerate” consists of all the meats. Conglomerate definition -  a coarse-grained sedimentary rock composed of rounded fragments within a matrix of finer grained material; the “Mozarkite” consists of Canadian bacon and is Missouri’s state rock. Check out our menu page for full names and descriptions.
